Prayer Request!!! Baby C will be here Thursday!

So we are going in tonight/tomorrow 3am Thursday to begin an induction that will bring our lil man here a little sooner than October 27th. Ryan feared he would never come out bc I feel him so many desserts right now! LOL....

Please pray for Baby Caden's safe arrival and all to go smoothly. It's our first experience with all of this so we are entangled with excitement, nerves and most of all eagerness to hold our first lil one!

We will post pics soon!!!!!!

Love all of you.

Jeanne and Ryan (and Caden!)

1 Centimeter Dilated...The process has begun....

As our due date draws near next week, the process has begun with dilation. I must say I am extremely ready. I have been blessed with a smooth pregnancy and an easy one and I also made it through a very busy 2 BIG events back to back and feel that was a miracle in itself haha. But these last weeks are hard and as one of my best friend's stated...'God almost allows the misery of the last two weeks wipes away any fear you have toward labor because you are just anxious to be relieved at that point!' WELL PUT ENGLISH!!! I agree 100%.

I am really excited though because everything is done. I have wrapped up at work and so I feel good there too! Yesterday our glider and ottoman came and that was the last of the nursery bit! Just sitting in it last night was so comfortable (thanks Holly!) and listening to his little music machine made me so at peace.

So my doctor said I am at 1 cm. and that I will be back in on Monday to see the status of where we are. My prayers are things naturally progress before my due date of next Saturday's, October 27th so I can avoid the induction, though that will be the plan next.

Will keep yall posted!!!

Nursery ALMOST done...

His sweet little peaceful room is almost done! Just missing one rocking swivel chair in that corner and we are good to go. Ryan and I have pretty must done our nesting. All his clothes are washed and hung up by age and Ryan has begun putting his stuff together like his swing, stroller, etc....

It's so crazy to believe how close it is until the moment we get to hold him. I think I will probably be the one who is so overwhelmed with emotion because it's almost like I am going through the motions but still have a hard time believing this is real and lil man Caden is going to be OURS. We are so so ready....

Baby C's Shower

Sunday was a beautiful and perfect day! The weather couldn't have been better for people to enjoy, want to be outside, drive in, and embrace! It was perfect in every way. He had his aunts and grandmothers from both sides there celebrating him and relishing in the moment with me, which was an honor!!!

I was telling someone, I wish I could go back to all the baby showers I visited because as much as I loved being at them for friends, I have a different take completely now. It's such a special special day because you not only realize you are surrounded by love and support, but you realize your sweet little one is about to be here and all these little mementos and gifts are all for him. It was fun to go home and unpack and organize his room, knowing these would all be gifts that were a part of welcoming him into the world! Yay!

All the sugar cravings that has been making that sweet baby have those chubby cheeks! LOL...this seriously was heaven for me when I walked in! Yogurtland, White Choc Ras. Cake, Cupcake Couture, and American Cookie Company cookies!!!

My elephant obsession! They made a floral arrangement into an elephant!!

A lady off Etsy hand knitted the little stuffed animals! So sweet!!

The vintage bottles and straws!

Another craving, Diet Cherry Limeade (I have made many trips to Sonic for this!)

Chicken Salad Sandwiches...the list goes on!

Tomato Basil soup and grilled cheeses!

This is our newest extension of family, Loretta. She is retired but volunteers at St. James in Meemaw's unit because share cares passionately for elderly people who are memory impaired. She is so sweet and so patient and nurturing. We decided to ask her if she would give thought to keeping baby Caden one day a week, and she said she loves children and would love to be a part! So Caden will have another auntie in his life who will care deeply for him!!! We are so excited.

All Caden's goodies!

A few of the many faces of those who made the day so special for us!

The party favor bags, one of my favorites! They were filled with fresh lavender and had ELEPHANTS on them! I'm obsessed!

Last sonogram until 37 weeks!

Look at this sweet boy's FAT CHEEKS!!! I had really big cheeks as a baby...so looks like Momma might have taken charge on the chub cheek genes! LOL....

Here he is sound asleep even after coffee and sugar...I know, that's bad but I really wanted him to be alert and awake. The ultra sound tech was saying how amazed she was he was sleeping through it. We went through plenty of work this day from making two trips to visit her because he was face down to waking him up. He does what he wants when he wants.

His foot is rather large! We are wondering still will he have his grandpa's height! His Bigdad is 6"4 and his great great grandfather was both 6"5. So we will see. This is a big foot!!

He has turned down and we are literally 6 weeks away from this baby boy's arrival! He also has a head full of hair, so the myth that indigestion is caused my extra hormones from hair growth could be true because I have had it bad!!!! Worth every little hair on that kid's head!

Our 4D ultrasound today!

We had a great time getting to see our sweet baby boy! The crazy part is he is calm as can be, must have his daddy's genes not mine! He wouldn't move much so our session was cut in half, but the great part is we get to go back for another 30 minutes with both our families (since Ryan's will be in town)! SO hopefully he will be wide awake for that one. He slept most of the ultra sound and his um. cord was in front of his face, while he was stubborn too and wouldn't come out much from under his hand. He looked so peaceful though. Ryan and I are so excited, we talked about several soon to be stories we can wait to experience with him as a family. He will be loved, that's for sure!

Here we couldn't get over his little pouty face!

He was tucked up and snuggled asleep most the whole time. He wouldn't come out from behind his hand no matter how much fruit punch I drank! We even saw him smile in his sleep.

This was his tucked up position, feet, hands and all in a ball....

SO peaceful!
We all thought he has Ryan's nose and hopefully button chin...and that will look like his daddy! He has my cheeks those chubby cheeks I was born with. He has some big feet, so he could end up a big baby or have some height in his genes as we predicted a while back!

Our ultrasound tech first had told us he had a little hair but she didn't see much. Then she came across this picture and said "looks like I made a mistake!" She said by the looks of that photo, that this little one could have a HEAD full of hair! I was born with so much hair so we will see! The arrow is pointing to all that hair on his head.

Almost to 31 weeks!

I have randomly taken photos on my phone for a few friends who have asked for belly shots here and there and last night I was skimming through pictures and it was fun to see the progression. My belly is big, and I feel huge right now! Caden moves quite a bit now and I feel him constantly. Tomorrow we have another doctor's appointment and then Ryan and I are counting down until Saturday because we get to see the 4D Ultra Sound.  We can hardly sleep because it's been months since we have gotten to see him! We can't wait to see our lil' man.

Off on a BABYMOON tomorrow....10.5 weeks and counting!

So it's hard to believe in a few days we will be 10 weeks away! I still feel great and all has been so smooth that I sometimes wonder if I am in the calm of the storm here. My energy is up and I even managed to keep up with friends in town last weekend til 11:30pm!! My back is starting to reap some of the weight I am not carrying and my sleep has begun to be disrupted by sweet baby Caden waking me up at 2, 4 and 6am about every day now... but I see it as preparation for the lack of sleep I will be getting in a couple months! However, the fun part about him waking me up now is that I can actually feel his little body parts moving. It's fun and exciting to know he is right there by my hand. I will even rub and wait until he responds, which all amazes me as a first time mom experiencing pregnancy.

Well it's not exactly a babymoon, but Ryan and I decided to have some fun with friends rather than just us two. So we leave for the beach tomorrow with Elizabeth and two dear friends of ours Troy & Ashley. We are so excited to just relax,  hang on the beach, order beach side drinks and food, dinners out, and even doing a boat one day at Crab Island where they have a fun band! It will be much enjoyed to do the things I can freely do before our world is consumed with new types of excitement!

Feeling that little foot!

I have to share what was so exciting to me last night! I was laying there in the bed and felt a kick on my hand through the covers. I was thinking 'no way could that have been a kick!?' Anyway, sure enough  when I went to put my hand where I had felt the kick, I felt his little foot. It was moving around against my finger. I have been feeling the baby move and do random kicks, but last night was the first time I could truly feel him and his little body part! I was trying to yell to Ryan to hurry and come without scaring him into moving, and luckily Ryan made it in time to feel too. We were both in awe! I mean how real it gets when you get to feel the little life you will soon meet! I am waiting anxiously for that again! It was so fun. I have heard I will get plenty of those kicks and even jabs in the ribs so be careful what I ask for haha! On another note, I took my glucose test and am so relieved to have passed! Amen!

BABY STEPS....

Making progress step by step! First, walls and trim painted a sift grey and white, ceiling fan replaced with a white one, crib came in, rocker came in, prints were framed and went up on the walls, and just waiting on the sheets, shelves, ottoman, dresser and the fun accessories to add! His sweet little nursery will be very classic and simple with details of a couple animals I have been stuck on (elephants and giraffes). I love just walking in the room, it makes me smile and SO EAGER to meet the little guy! His cute little closet with all his tiny clothes makes me feel that day will never get here. Until then, I will enjoy my sleep!
